(1) Arriving at the Airport
Took an Emirate flight on 19Feb (first day of CNY) 2225hrs and arrived at Melbourne Tullamarine airport next day at 8:50 am Melb time. It was a 7.5 hrs flight.
As we were walking towards the arrival hall, we passed by an ePassport kiosk, scanned our passport and took a ticket.
Then saw this directional sign for SGP passports and queue behind the long queue under this sign until Fred went forward and found that we did not need to queue. Just go straight to the ePassport gate, scan our e-ticket that we got earlier from the kiosk and within mins we were out of the immigration, just like what we have in Changi airport.
Next, we proceed to get our phone sim card from Optus shop after we claimed our baggages and exited out of the custom. We took a pre-paid plan of 20AUD for 10 days where we could have unlimited local call but only 500mb per day of internet serving. That was good enough for using google map and making call home via Line app. Also, our apartment in Melbourne did provide free wi-fi.
(2) Our Melbourne Service Apt
This apartment was a good choice as it is near to South Yarra station and tram stops at the juction of Chapel St and Toorak road.
There were 2 bedroom and a huge kitchen/dinning/hall area where one could get a roll-out bed for another person in the hall. Unfortunately there was only 1 shared toilet for 5 of us. So, whenever more than 1 person need to use the toilet for "big business", we would either use the lobby toilet on the ground floor or the gym toilet on the 6th floor.

(3) Exploring Chapel Street
Chapel Street is a shopping, dining and entertainment precinct in Melbourne. It has myriad shops ranging from exclusive upmarket fashion designers at the South Yarra end to old fashion pawn houses towards Windsor.
We had our 1st lunch in Melbourne at "The Imperial" bistro along Chapel St. It was a $10 daily lunch specials where we order a pizza carzone, calamari salad, chicken wrap and a Mexican pizza (not in picture) @$10 each.
Normally a meal in a cafe would cost around
$20 so this price was a steal.
(4) Attending Blythe exhibition @ Fitroy
What a coincidence. "Once Upon A Blythe Exhibition" was held at 52 Johnston St, Fitroy,
Melbourne from 20/02/2015 to 09/03/2015. Fred contributed a blythe to this exhibition.
(5) Dinner @Brunswick St
After a short visit at the exhibition the guys suggested having dinner around this area.We were strolling down Johnston st into Brunswick st when we discovered this interesting cafe called "Meatballs and Son".
